BIG DEAL STUDIO3 ARTS - I'M NOT SLIPPIN I'M JUST LIVIN SHOW

Big deal and Studio arts 3 presented a wonderful show called 'I'm not slippin I'm just livin' with a bag of talents with no boundaries what so ever. This was held at The Broadway in Barking on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th October 2011 at 7.30.

Liza had given me a wonderful opportunity to help out back stage with all the performers, while being backstage I was able to meet all the performers which was very nice. Being backstage I had an insight on how the sound effects worked, how special effects worked and how the performers had prepared themselves for their next acts etc.

I really liked the fact that the audience was not only just for children and young adults but also adults which was very good to know that people from other areas had heard about the show and were willing to come and watch the talents that were being offered out to the audience.

The main message for the 'I'm not slippin I'm jus livin' show was to make people aware about what goes on around us such as the riots etc and how it hasn't only just affected society on its own but also individuals as well however they still have to go about their daily lives. This was really good to see because even though they are stereotyped they still had and have the courage to be bold and say that even though other youths may be ruining our society we are trying to make it better so please don't see us as a whole. Many youths today have been accused and knocked down by the stories produced by the media giving them a bad name.

Before seeing the show I was not aware about the main reasons for the show. When watching the show I started to gain an understanding about the show and what message the group wanted to put across to its audience. The show was presented and done in a way that was very understandable meaning that the audience would not have had any questions about the show but only left an effect on them which is only to think about which path they would pick as an individual which was to follow the crowd and be a statistic or do the correct thing and stay out of trouble.

I was pleased with the show and the outcome on the first day and recommended it from friends from other areas. They were amazed by the show due to not having an opportunity like that in their areas.

My friend also left a message for the group;
I loved every bit of the show, it was amazing. They all need to be signed.  All the acts were wonderful and surprising, the thought of them thinking of all of the acts on their own is mind blowing, I wish I could be part of them. I am definitely coming to next show and I am bringing more friends.
 Well done guys, keep it up
